James F. Simon, DDS, MEd

James F. Simon, DDS, MEd, is a professor in the Department of Restorative Dentistry at the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry.

He attended the State University of Iowa Iowa City, Iowa, the University of Iowa College of Dentistry Iowa City, Iowa, where has becane a Doctor of Dental Surgery. He received his Master of Education at University of New Orleans.

Dr. Simon's appointments included: director of the Union City Extramural Dental Clinic, University of the Pacific School of Dentistry; chair of the Department of Operative Dentistry, University of the Pacific School of Dentistry; course director,  Pre-Clinic Operative Dentistry, UOP School of Dentistry; chair, Department of Restorative Dentistry, University of Tennessee College of Dentistry; director, Division of Esthetic Dentistry; and Director Clinical Research, among others.

Dr. Simon has received the Dean's Incentive Award, University of the Pacific, 1987, 1997; the International Dental Studies Faculty Award, University of the Pacific, 1992; OKU, Honorary Dental Society, 1993; TKO, Honorary Dental Fraternity, 1997; and the Deans Honor Society, 2004. He had been published in Journal of Dental Research, General Dentistry, Yearbook of Dentistry, Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry, and Inside Dentistry , among others.

Dr. Simon recently served on the Dental Research Committee, the Instrument and Materials Subcommittee, and as chair of the Continuing Dental Education Advisory Committee.
