Morton Rosenberg, DMD

Dr. Morton Rosenberg is head of the Division of Anesthesia and Pain Control in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Rosenberg received his DMD from Tufts in 1974. On completion of a residency in anesthesia at Tufts–New England Medical where he was chief resident, he was appointed to the full-time faculty in the Department of Anesthesia where he became director of Clinical Anesthesia Services and medical director of Operating Rooms. He has been a member of the Tufts faculty since 1976 and is currently professor of oral and maxillofacial surgery and an associate professor of anesthesia at Tufts University School of Medicine. He is actively involved in the teaching of dental, medical, and nurse anesthetist students, and oral surgical, pediatric, anesthesia, and GPR residents in all aspects of sedation/anesthesia in medicine and dentistry.

A nationally recognized leader and educator in dental sedation and anesthesia, Dr. Rosenberg has published extensively in the medical and dental literatures. Dr. Rosenberg received the 2006 Heidbrink Award from the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology at which time he also delivered the Osterloh Memorial Lecture. He has been a member of Board of Directors of the ADSA for many years.
