Zentist recently earned SOC 2 Type II certification for its Remit AI platform, a step the company says reinforces its data protection measures for dental service organizations (DSOs) and business partners. The certification was awarded following a months-long audit process that began in October 2024.
SOC 2 Type II is a framework developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). It evaluates organizations on 5 criteria: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. Certification requires demonstrating that internal controls are not only properly designed, but also operating effectively over time.
The company stated in a press release that obtaining this certification demonstrates its adherence to security and compliance protocols, particularly in managing personally identifiable information (PII) in cloud-based dental insurance revenue cycle management (RCM) systems.
"Earning SOC 2 Type II certification reinforces Zentist’s leadership in dental RCM technology. We are proud to provide a platform that not only enhances DSOs operational efficiency but also meets the most rigorous security and compliance standards for our clients & channel partners," Ato Kasymov, CEO and co-founder of Zentist states in the release.
Zentist stated that the certification provides DSOs with assurances around data breach protection, regulatory compliance, and secure system integration. The company also emphasized the relevance of these measures in light of increasing cybersecurity risks within the dental industry.
