Nordent Manufacturing has announced the release of its Titanium Implant Probes, which are now available through the company’s authorized distributors. The probes are designed for use in implant maintenance procedures and are manufactured from the same titanium used in many dental implants.
According to Nordent, the probes serve as an alternative to stainless-steel instruments and are intended to help preserve implant surfaces while reducing the need for multiple probe types in a clinician’s toolkit.
The company states that the color-coding on the probe tips is applied under extreme temperatures, allowing the color to penetrate the surface. This manufacturing process is designed to maintain marking visibility through repeated use.
Each probe features Nordent’s DuraLite® Round Handle, which the company describes as lightweight, with a textured finish to reduce glare. The handle measures 3/8 inch (10 mm) in diameter and includes the ControlRing™ design, which Nordent says is intended to support a controlled grip with less finger pressure and to reduce hand fatigue during longer procedures.
“This addition reflects our commitment to combining innovative materials with thoughtful design to meet the evolving needs of modern dentistry,” said Tim Irwin, vice president, strategic accounts at Nordent Manufacturing.
According to the company, the probes are designed to offer a balance of strength and tactile sensitivity, with a focus on clinician comfort and implant safety.
