VideaHealth, in collaboration with Henry Schein One, has announced the introduction of the Impact Panel, an enhancement to the Detect AI platform now available for Dentrix® and Dentrix Ascend® users. This integration incorporates VideaHealth’s real-time AI findings and patient communication tools directly into Henry Schein One’s imaging workflows. The goal is to support clinicians in presenting diagnostic findings more clearly and fostering informed patient discussions about treatment recommendations.
“This next evolution of our partnership with Henry Schein One builds on the power of embedded AI; technology that delivers insights in the moment of care,” said Florian Hillen, CEO of VideaHealth. “When patients can clearly see and understand their oral health and why treatment is recommended, they feel more confident in their providers and their choices. That confidence builds trust and leads to patients accepting the right treatment at the right time, rather than delaying care.”
The Impact Panel combines Detect AI’s clinical image analysis with visualization tools designed to enhance diagnostic explanation and patient education. Key functions include:
- AI-based context to help patients visualize and understand oral health conditions.
- Interactive odontogram highlighting AI-detected findings.
- AI summary view showing tooth damage percentages and bone-level summaries by quadrant.
- Patient education tools, including digital and print options such as on-screen diagrams and QR codes, allowing patients to securely review visuals outside the operatory.
Early data from practices using the Impact Panel’s QR-based education feature indicate a 19% increase in case acceptance, suggesting that accessible visual aids and transparent communication may positively influence treatment decisions.
“Our collaboration with VideaHealth reflects our shared commitment to providing seamlessly integrated technology that elevates patient care,” said Dr. Ryan Hungate, Chief Clinical and Strategy Officer, Henry Schein One. “Embedding AI insights directly within Dentrix and Ascend empowers dental professionals to make data-driven decisions and communicate findings more effectively, ultimately assisting with the continuity of care across every location.”
The Impact Panel is available to existing Detect AI users at no additional cost and continues the ongoing collaboration between VideaHealth and Henry Schein One to enhance diagnostic confidence, patient communication, and workflow efficiency.
Dr. Seth Gibree, Senior Director of Clinical AI and Innovation at Heartland Dental, added, “Heartland is excited to bring the Detect AI Impact Panel into our clinical workflow. By keeping the entire AI imaging experience inside Dentrix, we expect to save valuable minutes per patient and reduce friction for our providers. This is a meaningful step forward in delivering smarter, faster care with the help of Videa’s AI technology.”
