Parkell has announced the release of the TurboSensor+ 360 ultrasonic scaler, an updated version of its TurboSensor product line. According to the company, the new scaler is designed to support clinical precision, safety, and ease of use while integrating with a range of commonly used ultrasonic inserts.
The TurboSensor+ 360 includes an IntelliSense processor intended to provide consistent power delivery when used with Parkell inserts as well as compatible 25K and 30K inserts from other manufacturers. The company states that the unit features a detachable, autoclavable 30K handpiece to support reprocessing protocols and infection control efforts.
According to the company, maintenance and serviceability were addressed through fully removable accessories, including waterlines, a foot pedal, and a handpiece cable, which are intended to reduce downtime. The scaler also incorporates built-in waterline protection and is designed for use with the PureClarity antibacterial filter system and shock syringe, which the company indicates provides up to six months of antibacterial protection.
The TurboSensor+ 360 includes workflow-related functions such as Cruise Control to reduce the need for constant foot pedal pressure, a Purge Mode for waterline cleaning, and a Priming Mode intended to prepare the unit for use. Parkell reports that the device is offered in multiple color options intended to align with different operatory environments.
According to the company, the TurboSensor+ 360 is designed, manufactured, and serviced in the United States. Parkell also states that the system is intended to support plug-and-play compatibility and compliance requirements in dental practices.
