VideaHealth and Aspen Dental Management, Inc. have completed a six-week rollout of VideaAI across Aspen Dental practices nationwide, according to the companies. The deployment brings artificial intelligence-based diagnostic support to more than 1,100 dental offices.
The rollout builds on the earlier implementation of VideaHealth’s Clinical Assist platform and represents a broad deployment of AI tools in dental practices. The technology is intended to support chairside diagnostics and clinical workflows. The companies stated that the initiative is designed to support more efficient visits, clearer communication about treatment options, and fewer return visits.
“Dentistry is entering a period of rapid change,” said Florian Hillen, CEO and founder of VideaHealth. “Clinicians are expected to do more in less time while maintaining accuracy, empathy, and operational efficiency. Our work with Aspen Dental brings AI directly into that equation, helping teams detect disease earlier, communicate clearly with patients, and manage their day with greater confidence and efficiency.”
Aspen Dental selected VideaAI following an office pilot that, according to the company, demonstrated value for clinicians and patients by identifying preventive care needs earlier and reducing the need for more invasive procedures. The company stated that the full rollout establishes a foundation for additional AI-based tools focused on clinical outcomes.
“Aspen Dental is on a mission to become the first AI-native dental network in the world, and that means giving our doctors and practice owners cutting-edge technology that truly changes what’s possible,” said Bob Fontana, chairman and CEO of Aspen Dental. “Partnering with VideaHealth isn’t just about adding another tool; it’s about reimagining how care is delivered end-to-end. When AI helps our teams see more, communicate more clearly, and focus more time on patients, everyone wins: the doctor, the practice, and most importantly, the patient.”
Fontana and Arwinder Judge, chief clinical officer of Aspen Dental, are founding members of VideaHealth’s AI Leadership Council. The council includes dental leaders from dental support organizations and focuses on guiding adoption of AI technologies in dentistry.
The companies stated that the collaboration centers on scaling AI capabilities, ongoing development of clinical tools, and improving diagnostic confidence and documentation. According to the company, these efforts are intended to support treatment planning and patient communication.
Aspen Dental offices participating in the pilot phase reported measurable changes following adoption of VideaAI, according to the companies. Those reports included increased confidence in diagnostics, improvements in clinical documentation, and higher same-day treatment acceptance. The companies stated that pilot offices experienced a 12 percent increase in acceptance of recommended care, particularly for non-invasive treatments addressing early-stage cavities. According to the companies, AI-based image highlighting supported earlier identification of decay and helped patients choose less invasive options.
“Our collaboration is about more than scaling AI,” Hillen added. “It’s about shaping a smarter, more connected model of dentistry that restores time to clinicians, strengthens patient relationships, and paves the way for continuous innovation.”
The completion of the rollout across more than 1,100 offices supports Aspen Dental’s efforts to address differences in access to dental care across urban, rural, and underserved communities.
