VITA North America is accepting submissions for the VITA Excellence Award 2027, an international competition recognizing patient cases that demonstrate minimally invasive adhesive restorative treatment concepts using VITA ENAMIC.
The competition is open to clinicians and dental laboratory professionals worldwide. The winning submission will receive a €2,000 cash prize, an Apple iPad (11th generation), and the opportunity to present the case at IDS 2027 in Cologne, Germany.
This year’s competition focuses on minimally invasive restorations that preserve healthy tooth structure while achieving esthetic and functional results. An international panel of experts will evaluate submissions based on esthetics, function, treatment planning, and clinical documentation. Eligible case types include inlays, onlays, partial crowns, and veneers.
The company said the featured restorative material, VITA ENAMIC, is a CAD/CAM material intended for minimally invasive restorative workflows. According to VITA, its polymer-infiltrated ceramic network combines a ceramic structure with a polymer network to support thin restorations, conservative tooth preparation, force absorption, and integration into existing CAD/CAM workflows. The company also said restorations can be milled in less than 5 minutes and polished without firing.
VITA develops dental products including denture teeth, veneering materials, digital shade measurement systems, furnaces, and CAD/CAM restorative materials. The company also developed the VITA classical A1–D4 shade guide and the VITA SYSTEM 3D-MASTER tooth shade system.
The submission deadline for the award competition is December 12, 2026. More information is available at https://hs.vita-zahnfabrik.com/en/vita-excellence-award or by calling (800) 828-3839.
