DentKits and Dentistry. One announced a partnership to incorporate clinical review and authorization by licensed dentists into an at-home denture process, according to a company press release.
The companies stated that the collaboration is intended to improve access to denture services for patients facing financial, geographic, or mobility-related barriers to traditional dental care.
Patients register through the DentKits platform and receive an impression kit. They complete dental impressions at home and submit smile photographs and medical histories. DentKits compiles the patient information and forwards the records to Dentistry. One for clinical evaluation.
A licensed dentist from Dentistry. One reviews the submitted materials and prescribes full or partial dentures when indicated. The findings are provided to the patient and DentKits through an oral health report.
Following denture delivery, patients requiring additional assistance may consult with a Dentistry. One dentist through a live video appointment. Dentistry. One also coordinates referrals to local providers when in-person care is necessary.
Brant Herman, co-founder and chief executive officer of MouthWatch and Dentistry. One, stated that the partnership incorporates the company's network of licensed dentists into DentKits' at-home denture services. He noted that licensed dentists review and prescribe dentures for each case, with virtual consultations available for subsequent concerns.
Kevin Early, founder and chief executive officer of DentKits, identified treatment costs, travel requirements, limited provider availability, and mobility restrictions as barriers to obtaining dentures. He stated that the collaboration extends clinical oversight to all DentKits cases nationwide.
Dentistry. One, a virtual-first oral health platform developed by MouthWatch Inc., provides services including artificial intelligence–assisted screening, asynchronous clinical consultations, live video consultations, and care coordination.
DentKits provides custom dentures through an at-home impression process and a United States-based laboratory, with licensed dentists reviewing each case and prescribing dentures when indicated.
