Grin has announced several updates to its digital orthodontic platform, including an AI-assisted tool, new hygiene tracking features, and enhancements to its patient and doctor portals. These developments will be presented during the upcoming American Association of Orthodontics (AAO) 2025 conference in Philadelphia, April 25-27.
Grin CoPilot™ is an AI-based tool intended to support clinical practices by automating routine tasks and offering real-time insights. According to the company, the tool is designed to assist, analyze, guide, and optimize care. Grin Care Specialists are involved in overseeing the tool to maintain a personalized, human-centered experience. “CoPilot anticipates needs, allowing doctors to focus on delivering high-quality care,” the company stated.
An integration with the Clarity™ Portal enables synchronization between the two systems, allowing photo records from Grin scans to be uploaded directly into the patient record within Clarity™.
Grin also introduced Grin Hygiene+, a new feature aimed at tracking and visualizing oral hygiene over time. It includes a dedicated dashboard for practices and an interactive brushing feature in the patient app. The company said the goal is to help “elevate oral care by driving better habits and improving patient accountability."
The patient app has been updated to provide what Grin describes as a “reimagined mobile experience” that includes greater visibility, personalized guidance, and enhanced communication tools.
The Grin Doctor Portal has also been redesigned. New features include a centralized notification center, improved navigation, internal chat functionality for patient communication, and an upcoming practice-wide chat feature.
