Kettenbach Dental has announced the launch of the VISALYS® BioCeramic Block, a CAD/CAM material developed for digital restorative applications. Manufactured in Germany, the material is designed to combine esthetic performance with biomechanical properties intended to resemble natural dentition.
According to the company, the VISALYS® BioCeramic Block was developed to support natural force distribution in the oral cavity through a material structure inspired by dentin and enamel. The composition is intended to balance strength and elasticity, supporting milling efficiency, precision, and minimally invasive restorative approaches.
The introduction of the VISALYS® BioCeramic Block expands Kettenbach Dental’s portfolio in digital prosthetics and restorative dentistry.
“Our aim is to provide dental practices and laboratories not just with products, but with real solutions—offering maximum reliability and the material performance of a natural tooth,” explained Tabea Fey, Managing Director of Kettenbach Dental. “With the new VISALYS® BioCeramic Block, we are setting a milestone in digital dentistry.”
“We asked ourselves what it takes to make a perfect imitation of nature possible in dentistry. In doing so, we worked on replicating the natural biomechanics and appearance of natural teeth,” said Katrin Schröder, Senior Global Product Manager, Digital Restoration.
The VISALYS® BioCeramic Block is scheduled for release in the US market in May 2026. Additional information is available at: VISALYS BioCeramic Block Information
